Fall 2021

This summer we had four kids’ camps that served more than forty children from the region. In these camps we covered techniques ranging from our basic punches, punch defense, and agility drills to more advanced jiu jitsu submissions and tournament strategies.

Our competitors travelled to Lubbock, TX on May 16th and to Odessa, TX on August 14th and 15th. Our team performed at the top 10 level out of the more than 35 teams that attended each tournament. In Lubbock our students earned 9 gold, 12 silver, and 15 bronze medals out of 30 competitors. In Odessa our students earned 8 gold, 12 silver, and 4 bronze medals out of 18 competitors. Great job to all competitors!

Regular training schedule ran all the way through summer, and many students took advantage of the smaller class sizes to fine tune skills. Some of the techniques we covered are listed on the front page with tips to help you and your students review at home

As school returns, we understand that many students schedules are changing and that homework will be an ever present concern. We encourage students to prioritize their studies over all else. If any student falls behind, they are welcome to bring homework to class and use their martial arts study time to catch up on school.

This October we look forward to celebrating the close of our third year serving the Artesia community. Thank you for your continued support. It is our pleasure to work with you and your children!
